Grand Gaube

A classic fishing village, with two major hotels, has rideable areas, but with relatively difficult access for kiters, and a bit easier for windsurfers. The shallow water of this lagoon makes low tide riding a scary and sometimes expensive experience (fins). This lagoon has many traps in the form of coral heads and patches, however if you cruise upwind you will find very clear waters and good sailing zones within the bay of “Ilot Bernache”.
